Reality Check The team is split into their pod groups. Each pod is given a finite amount of time to learn how to play a new card game. A tournament takes place where team members need to adapt to rule changes and player changes.
ZIN Monument The team is given a set of 30 clues. Each person has a number of secret clues. Utilizing communication skills, the team needs to solve the puzzle of “What day of the week was the ZIN Monument completed?” Each person needs to be committed to the overall task and responsible for the information they have.
Mousetrap Trust Sequence Learn about trust, support, and coaching by setting and unsetting mousetraps with a partner.
Stage 1: Set the trap
Stage 2: Set the trap blind
Stage 3: Unset the trap
Stage 4: Unset the trap blind
Memory The team is challenged to match a series of values based cards by utilizing their group’s memory skills. A discussion will lead to highlighting the new team’s values as they look to the future.
4-Sided River Crossing Learn about the importance of diversity of opinions and challenging assumptions within the group. The group is split into four subgroups that all start on opposite corners of a rectangle. They have to get to the opposite side of rectangle without touching the floor, utilizing only the resources given to them (some plastic stepping stones).
Planks The team will be given a timed, competitive, and collaborative challenge. In a progression of challenges focused around completing a three-dimensional puzzle the participants will apply essential team problem solving skills. This challenge focuses on building processes that increase efficiency as time passes. As a culmination, the four sub-teams will need to work together to complete the final task.
